Netflix has a lot of shows that are coming of age; these shows and movies captivate the attention of all teenagers. The teen drama genre is in vogue. Such a show is Zero Chill. It is a British teen drama streaming television series. The creators Kirstie Falkous and John Regier created the show for the famous streaming platform Netflix. It first premiered on the 15th of March, 2021.
Since then, the fans have been consistently worried whether Netflix had canceled the show. Everyone wanted a second season for this popular show. Like every other teenage drama show or movie, this show also focused on the lives of teenagers and the daily struggles they counter. So, will there be a second season? Is the show canceled?

Zero Chill Season 2 Release Date
To much of everyone’s dismay, the show was canceled just after its first season. The first season premiered on the 15th of March in 2021, and it had a total of ten episodes. Each episode had a duration between twenty-five to thirty-five minutes. The series did not really do that well. Also, it had a rating of only 5.7 out of 10 on IMDb. However, the show was canceled on the 17th of November 2021 only. The show will have no second season; the first season was the last one. Despite the bad rating on IMDb, the show still managed to be in the top 10 of many countries’ top 10 dramas. It was also included in the 49 top, diverse ten records on Netflix in the entire world.
However, the show has still been canceled. The series was indeed widespread and had a good fan base however, Netflix still canceled the British-Canadian original sports drama.
There was no decision on whether to renew or cancel it for a reasonable amount of time however and after months of waiting, fans were hit with the sad news that one of most favorite shows would not be returning for a second season. It was finally canceled on Netflix. Now, one of the reasons could be that despite being a top ten show in many places, the performance on Netflix was not satisfactory enough to renew it for another season, so it canceled it.

Zero Chill Season 2 Story
The show focused on the MacBentley family. The family had moved to England from Toronto in, Canada. Mac, the family’s son, was offered a place in the prestigious Ice Hockey team, so they had to move. He has a twin sister named Kayla, who was forced to move to England with her family. Now, she struggled to adapt to the changes and the difficulties of moving to a completely new country. Kayla was a figure skater and had to be separated from her partner because of the move.
The second season might have focused on Kayla’s figure skating. She was trying to return to her unconventional partner Sky for a competition that demanded only pairs could perform. So typically, no two female partners are allowed in figure skating, so this duo was unconventional. And if they had found a way to make it work and win it, they would also become the first female pair to do so as well.
Zero Chill Cast
Kayla MacBentley was played by Grace Beedie. Then Dakota Benjamin played the role of her brother Taylor “Mac” Bentley, and he is a very talented ice hockey player; however, he is also very arrogant. Their mother, Jenny MacBentley, was played by Sarah-Jane Potts. Kayla’s figure skating partner, Sky, was played by Jade Ma.
