A Dothan man was found shot to death Wednesday afternoon on a street in the city, police said Thursday.
Authorities received a call of a person shot around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of Miles Lane, police said.
Dothan Fire and Rescue and police officers arrived on the scene and found the victim laying in the middle of the road with a gunshot wound to his upper torso.
Paramedics tried life saving measures but the man was pronounced dead.
He was identified as 36-year-old Samuel Jeffrey Gray.
Gray’s body was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for a forensic examination, police said.
