New Delhi: Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, who tied the knot in April this year, are blessed with a baby girl. Though there is no official confirmation from the couple yet, the sources have confirmed ABP News that the actress has given birth to a baby girl.
The couple had reached HN Reliance Hospital, Girgaon in the morning today, for the delivery of their first child. Randhir Kapoor is also present at the hospital right now along with Alia’s mother Soni Razdan.
On June 27, Alia surprised everyone by sharing a picture to announce her pregnancy. In the picture, Alia lay in a hospital bed undergoing an ultrasound as Ranbir sat beside her. Alia covered the image on the screen with a big red heart emoji. In another slide, the ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ actress shared a picture of a lion family huddled together.
Announcing her first pregnancy with husband Ranbir Kapoor, Alia wrote, “Our baby ….. coming soon ♾❤️✨”
Alia had her baby shower in October among close friends and family. Alia shared beautiful pictures on Instagram. The photos featured Alia, her husband Ranbir Kapoor, other family members and friends.
While talking to Bollywood Bubble, Ranbir had talked about their preparations for parenthood. “Now we are having a fight because there is a book on it that she (Alia) has read and wants me to read, and am 30 per cent through it, and I tell her, ‘Listen, books are not gonna teach us how we are gonna raise our child, let us experience it when it happens.’”
Ranbir is also reported to take a sabbatical and will not be signing on for a new film in order to spend more time with his wife and newborn child.
Alia has been working throughout her pregnancy. She shot for her international project Heart of Stone, with Gal Gadot during her pregnancy and promoted ‘Darlings’ and ‘Brahmastra’.
Ranbir and Alia tied the knot on April 14, 2022 at their Mumbai residence in an intimate ceremony. The couple’s first film together ‘Brahmastra’ was a blockbuster.
