Thomas Rhett will return to Alabama in 2023 for a stop on his “Home Team Tour 23.″

The country star — known for hits such as “Die a Happy Man,” “Crash and Burn,” “It Goes Like This” and “Marry Me” — is set to perform on Sept. 28 at the Legacy Arena at the BJCC, 1898 Ninth Ave. North in Birmingham. Also on the lineup: Cole Swindell and Nate Smith.

Rhett, 32, is a Georgia native raised in Nashville and the son of veteran country star Rhett Akins. He’s forged his own music career over the past 10 years, releasing six albums including the double-platinum “Tangled Up” in 2015. His latest record: 2022′s “Where We Started,” which includes the singles “Slow Down Summer” and “Half of Me,” featuring Alabama native Riley Green.

Rhett has been nominated for a slew of music industry awards and won several of them, including Entertainer of the Year and Male Artist of the Year from the Academy of County Music. He’s performed in Alabama several times over the years, including shows at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre, The Wharf Amphitheater, Tuscaloosa Amphitheater and the Rock the South festival in Cullman.
