Curve Royalty Systems launches ‘Curve Lite’ platform for smaller labels, distributors and publishers

Posted on November 4, 2022 By Theatre Out No Comments on Curve Royalty Systems launches ‘Curve Lite’ platform for smaller labels, distributors and publishers

Curve Royalty Systems, the London-headquartered music technology company, has unveiled a new version of its industry-acclaimed platform specifically designed for smaller music content owners and distributors.

Curve says that Curve Lite offers “everything required to produce fast, accurate and professional royalty statements for artists and composers”.

It is essentially a slimmed-down version of Curve’s full royalty-processing platform, which processes billions of lines of data for Curve’s hundreds of clients, including Domino, Mad Decent, Audiosalad, Cooking Vinyl, Epitaph Records, Dirty Hit and many others.

Pricing for the new Lite tier of Curve’s platform starts at GBP £20 per month, and is being targeted at independent record companies, music publishers and distributors.

Curve says that artists and composers will receive the same statements and experience when accessing their royalty information through Curve Lite as they would using the company’s premium system.

Tom Allen, co-founder and CEO of Curve Royalty Systems said, “We have always believed that high-quality royalty accounting should be accessible and available to all music industry companies regardless of their size, and that the traditionally high costs of such platforms should not be a barrier to record labels, music publishers and distributors providing a transparent, fast and accurate service to the artists and composers they represent.

“Curve Lite has been designed specifically for smaller-sized companies who need an intuitive, easy-to-use, affordable system, which is fully upgradeable as they grow.”

Curve Royalty Systems was launched in 2019 by former ADA/Warner, Cooking Vinyl and Essential Music executives, Richard Leach, Ray Bush and Tom Allen.

The company expanded its operation into the US in 2021.

Curve recently grew its presence in North America with the hire of Toronto-based Mhairi Palmer as Director of North American Sales.

Meanwhile, the company has also expanded its UK business this year, adding ex-Kobalt exec Britt Timmerman as Client & Sales Manager.Music Business Worldwide
