Aubrey Plaza Officially Joins the MCU in ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’

Posted on November 3, 2022 By Theatre Out No Comments on Aubrey Plaza Officially Joins the MCU in ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’

Watch out Kathryn Hahn, Aubrey Plaza is coming for you!

Happiest Season star Aubrey Plaza is the latest star to join the cast of Disney+’s upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe show Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

A new hag is coming to town, as Plaza is set to star opposite Kathryn Hahn’s villainous and musical witch Agatha Harkness in the new spinoff of the hit MCU show WandaVision.

While we don’t have any details on her role, many are speculating that Plaza will play a villain in the show, and many are hoping she gets to play a witch. Plaza, whose social media handle is @evilhag, has always had a love for witches and hags and all things related to them. For her to play a witch here would be perfectly fitting.

Some possibilities include Lilith, the mother of demons; Satana, the daughter of a Satan; Nina Price, aka Vampire By Night; or queen of the Succubi, Shiklah.

This isn’t Plaza’s first time working with Hahn, as the two worked together on the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation. Plaza was one of the series’ stars as April Ludgate, and Hahn had a guest role later in the series as political strategist Jen Barkley.

Just the other day we learned that out Heartstopper actor Joe Locke has been cast in an undisclosed role in the series. While nothing has been confirmed, fans are speculating, and hoping, that he’ll play a teen version of Wanda and Vision’s son Billy, also known as the gay superhero Wiccan.

Emma Caulfield Ford, who appeared in WandaVision, is also set to reprise her role of Dottie for the show. Agatha: Coven of Chaos is expected to premiere next year, so we don’t have much else information on the series for now.
