TRP ratings are shooting up for the show; Check out the numbers

The current running season of the most controversial show of the country, Bigg Boss — season 16 is gaining a lot of traction from all over India. Bigg Boss has many fans for as long as the show first premiered in India back in 2006. Bigg Boss mostly works on the attraction towards voyeurism. Due to many reasons, people do seek entertainment in other people’s miseries. That’s what Bigg Boss has been harping on for decades. Bigg Brother, Netherlands, is the original form of the show, from which Bigg Boss emerged as a franchise. Bigg Brother first telecast 23 years ago in 1999. It has since only grew in popularity and fans have only loved the show every passing year.

Now, the TRP ratings for Bigg Boss in India ha been dwindling ever since the blockbuster season 13 got over in 2020. soon after world-wide pandemic hit followed by lockdown in almost entire world. That year, fans weren’t really expecting a new season. But makers did bring in a new season that year end, without disappointing their fans. But the contestants and housemates couldn’t do anything, unfortunately. Season 14 came in with every precaution possible literally and metaphorically. They had everything sanitised and also got in three powerful ex contestants from previous seasons in the house as seniors to guide the new ones. This move of makers, didn’t really work so well.

But the current running season 16 finally seems to be redeeming the loss from past two seasons. Recently, TRP ratings of week 42 of this year has come in and Bigg Boss season 16 has passed with flying colours. a whooping 1.5 rating on weekdays and 1.7 rating on weekends has made the current season a huge hit already — with just a month of the show running.
