Salman Khan hosted the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 16, and the housemates were up for the challenge as the Bollywood star forced them to make difficult decisions. Gautam was appointed captain of the house, which required him to forego the rations of all the housemates. Gautam was hesitant at first, but he eventually accepted the captain’s post and sacrificed the entire Bigg Boss house ration. Gautam’s decision upset the contestants, which became clear later on.
Gautam’s response was that he did not think and was under pressure. Meanwhile, he requested that Salman Khan and Bigg Boss reconsider his decision for the sake of the housemates. His decision, however, was not overturned. He was saved from eviction and appointed as the new captain of the house. He was also exempt from being nominated for eviction.
Housemates such as Sajid Khan and Priyanka Choudhary, among others, were shocked and said that Gautam should have considered the house before giving up the ration. Sajid, in particular, became aggressive and said, ‘ab yeh phans gaya hai mere saath is ghar mein.’ He also verbally abused Gautam in front of MC Stan and Shiv.
Seeing this netizens were not happy with Sajid Khan’s and relayed their feeling on Twitter saying that he should not have crossed the line and spoke badly of his mother.
