ThThe follow-up to the 2018 action film Bumblebee, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, has generated a lot of buzzes, but due to a protracted and difficult production process as well as the pandemic, the robot movie had to adjust its initial release schedule. This has caused confusion regarding when Rise of the Beasts, the seventh installment in the live-action Transformers movies franchise, will actually be released in theatres.
Rise of the Beasts, a film directed by Steven Caple Jr., will mostly follow the 1984 animated series Beast Wars plot. The science fiction film will center on Optimus Prime in 1990s New York and Peru, and Peter Cullen will return to voice the robot. Along with a live-action human cast, more Autobots, Maximals, and Terrorcons are expected to feature in the movie.
The screenplay for this movie was written by Joby Harold in collaboration with Darnell Metayer, Josh Peters, Erich Hoeber, and Jon Hoeber. In addition to Michael Bay, Lorenzo di Bonaventura is back to produce the movie.
Transformers 7 Plot
Transformers 7’s specific narrative hasn’t been revealed, although as was already reported, the film is expected to draw influence from the Beast Wars episode of the animated Transformers TV series.
The robots’ ability to change into animal-like robots, such as Optimus Primal, the commander of the Maximals, who can change into a gorilla, was a crucial aspect in Beast Wars.
The Maximals and its fellow TransformerTribe, the Predacons, are ancient morphing robots with the capacity to travel across time, as stated by Caple in a presentation for Paramount. During the lecture, Caple said, “They assume animal shapes in their masquerade.”
“So in our film, they’re these prehistoric animals that travel through time and space, and we find them here on Earth.” While Bumblebee introduced the audiences to the Autobots and Decepticons, Rise of the Beasts will introduce not just the Maximals and Predacons, but also the Terrorcons. “This movie is bringing a lot of those tribes together,” producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura added.
Transformers 7 Cast
Despite the fact that certain cast members have already been confirmed, many of the voice actors for popular roles have not yet been chosen.
We are aware that several Autobots, Terrorcons, and Maximals from prior Transformers films, like Mirage, Scourge, Nightbird, Rhinox, and Airazor, will make a comeback.
Given that Bumblebee is regarded as canon and Rise of the Beasts is touted as a sequel, it’s plausible that Grey Griffin and Dylan O’Brien may return to their respective voice roles of Bumblebee and Arcee. This hasn’t been verified, though.
Ron Perlman and Peter Cullen, who formerly voiced Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal, respectively, will also be making significant cameos in this movie. The live-action human cast will be led by Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, and Luna Lauren Velez in all-new roles.
Transformers 7 confirmed cast:
- Anthony Ramos as Noah
- Dominique Fishback as Elena
- Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal
- Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime
- Lauren Vélez as Noah’s mother
- Michelle Yeoh as Maximal Airazor
- Pete Davidson as Autobot Mirage
Transformers 7 Release Date
The transformers 7 filming started in June 2021 and ended in October of the same year. Deadline reported in November 2021 that Paramount has postponed the release of Rise of the Beasts by a whole year, despite the film’s original June 2022 release date.
This implies that as of the time of writing, June 9, 2023, is the anticipated release date for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
Will There Be A Transformers 8?
There will indeed be a Transformers 8 film. Rise of the Beasts’ release date was confirmed for 2023 by the official Paramount Plus Twitter in February 2022, along with the announcement of Transformers 8 and Transformers 9; the post referred to Rise of the Beasts as “the first in three new installments.”
The other Transformers movies and the animated series are currently available on Paramount Plus.
