Taking the gloves off a legendary boxer, Michael B. Jordan comes out swinging in 2016 with Creed, a narrative we didn’t realise we needed. The drama film, directed by Oscar-nominated Ryan Coogler, introduced us to Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo, Rocky Balboa’s buddy, and the history of the Creed family name.
By departing from the previous films in the series, the thriller created a fresh affection for the series. It went on to receive a sequel, and now a third instalment is set to compete. The third instalment is usually a difficult assignment, though. A unique jewel that, in the case of Rocky 3, was only produced by somebody like Stallone.
Now, Michael B. Jordan will engage in a similar fight, but without the assistance of the Italian Stallion. He’ll not only reprise his role as Adonis, but he’ll also be taking a seat behind the camera in his directing debut.

Creed 3 Trailer
Creed 3 has a new trailer, and it looks incredible. Damian, played by Jonathan Majors, appears to be a very menacing guy when we first meet him in the teaser. In all honesty, we are more concerned about Adonis than for ourselves as to whether he will survive this one.
Creed 3 Plot
Fans had many different speculations about what the third instalment may cover after the popularity of the second instalment, which focused on Creed’s career. Despite the lack of specifics, we do know that Anderson Dame will be Adonis’ next opponent in the ring for Creed 3. (Jonathan Majors).
After the second movie’s release, Stallone spoke with TMZ and discussed the possibility of having Jordan play the son of Clubber Lang (Mr T), the Italian Stallion’s adversary in Rocky 3, take on Deontay Wilder. The actual fighter had even stated his eagerness to accept the job should it become available.
Unfortunately, artistic choices changed casting (sorry, Wilder) when the new menacing Creed 3 character’s visage was unveiled. It was announced in June 2021 that Jonathan Majors of Lovecraft Country and The Harder They Fall fame will be the fighter’s next opponent after Florian Munteanu’s Viktor Drago was defeated in Creed 2.
Majors’s character is, regrettably, still unknown, but there has been buzz that he could really be another of Apollo’s sons, resolving some sibling rivalry. Could the Creed series be offering us its interpretation of Warrior? If so, put on your gloves and start talking right away.
Creed 3 Cast
Only the essential cast members from the first two movies have been officially confirmed to feature in Jordan’s directorial debut. In addition to Majors’s debut in the series as the unproven boxer, Tessa Thompson, who has played Bianca since the first movie, will return in Creed 3.
In the third instalment, Phylicia Rashad, who played the widow of Apollo Creed and the mother of Adonis, is also back to worry about the champion fighting for a few more rounds. As already established, this will be the first Balboa-verse movie to leave out the legendary former champion. Stallone has not stated why he won’t be in the upcoming film since it was disclosed in April of last year.
Thankfully, as Jordan revealed to Yahoo after the news, there doesn’t seem to be any animosity between the two celebrities.
“We really want fans to be interested in Adonis and what that story has to say,” but still making it clear the Italian Stallion will always be present in some way.
“There’s going to be so many Rocky-isms that are forever going to stay with Adonis as he moves forward,” Jordan said. “So as far as page space, or whether or not Rocky comes back for this one, this is the Creed franchise moving forward.”
Where To Watch Creed 3
The movie still retains the aforementioned release date, but it arrives at an exciting time for some of the participating studios. Back in May 2021, it was revealed that Amazon will purchase MGM Studios for $8.45 billion, gaining access to lucrative brands like the James Bond and Rocky movies.
Following the significant investment, the issue of what it meant for upcoming big-screen films was immediately raised. No Time To Die’s October release was unaffected by it, but the globally dominant firm could still be planning to distribute blockbuster films on both big screens and streaming services, similar to how Disney does with Disney Plus.
Creed 3 may suffer from such a setback. There hasn’t been much discussion about whether this might actually happen, but when they do provide a teaser, anticipate some explanation.
Creed 3 Release Date
March 3, 2023 will see the debut of Creed 3. The film’s initial release date was set for November 23, 2022. However, it has now been delayed by over six months.
It’s surprising that there isn’t a Creed 3 trailer given that the film’s release date is almost six months away. It should release soon, and when it does, we’ll be here to provide you with all the pertinent information.
