The Full, Shirtless Trailer for ‘Welcome to Chippendales’ Is Here

Posted on October 19, 2022 By Theatre Out No Comments on The Full, Shirtless Trailer for ‘Welcome to Chippendales’ Is Here

We are now fully in the world of Chippendales!

Hulu has released the first full trailer for its upcoming limited series Welcome to Chippendales, starring Kumail Nanjiani as Steve Banerjee, the immigrant founder of the world’s largest male stripping empire.

Based on the true story, Welcome to Chippendales “tells the outrageous story of Somen ‘Steve’ Banerjee, an Indian immigrant who became the unlikely founder of the world’s greatest male-stripping empire—and let nothing stand in his way in the process.”

In the new, full trailer we get a much better look at the character played by Bartlett. He’s playing choreographer Nick De Noia, who was pivotal in the rise and fall of Banerjee.

“You need a choreographer, and I do enjoy a challenge,” De Noia says to Banerjee in the trailer. At first, he’s working for Banerjee, but soon, his star power eclipses the actual owner of the club. Later in the trailer, we see De Noia being interviewed on TV as Banerjee and others watch.

“Please welcome, Mr. Chippendales himself, Nick De Noia,” the TV announcer says.

“Chippendales is my creation!” Banerjee yells. “I hired him!”

“You and me stick together, or we go to war,” De Noia warns Banerjee.

“Is that a threat?” he asks.

“It’s a promise.”

We also get a small look at Robin de Jesús as Ray Colon, Banerjee’’s handyman and fixer. He’s seen hanging around Banerjee a few times, and even warns him that De Noia is going to “walk all over you.”

It looks like the battle between Banerjee and De Noia is going to be a main focus of the series. Does Bartlett have another Emmy lined up already?

Of course, the teaser also has tons and tons and tons of hot, shirtless male dancers. Every dramatic scene is cut with an equal amount of male stripping, so don’t worry.

Welcome to Chippendales also stars Juliette Lewis and Annaleigh Ashford, with recurring guest stars Quentin Plair, Andrew Rannells, Spencer Boldman, and guest stars Nicola Peltz Beckham, and Dan Stevens. It premieres on Hulu on Tuesday, November 22.
