Rihanna Rumored to Have 2 New Songs in ‘Black Panther 2’ Soundtrack

Posted on October 18, 2022 By Theatre Out No Comments on Rihanna Rumored to Have 2 New Songs in ‘Black Panther 2’ Soundtrack

The Navy is coming to Wakanda.

Rihanna is rumored to debut two brand-new songs in the soundtrack of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which was first reported by Hits Daily Double. The publication published the following:

“The original Black Panther, which arrived in multiplexes in 2018, spawned an original-score release as well as a smash ‘inspired by’ album. Insiders say the sequel will follow suit, with music dropping via Marvel/Disney and Westbury Road/Roc Nation/Def Jam, the latter due to Rihanna’s involvement.”

This information was also teased by The New York Times pop culture reporter Kyle Buchanan, who tweeted:

“Rumors are flying and I can add to them: I’ve been hearing for weeks that Rihanna is recording the end-credits song for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. How do you follow up a classic like ‘All the Stars’? By snagging Rihanna’s first big song in years.”

In September 2022, news broke that Rihanna will headline the Super Bowl halftime show in 2023. Though many fans are hesitant to believe that this is BadGalRiRi’s official comeback, this latest rumor adds fuel to the fire that she is indeed returning to pop music very soon.

But regardless if Rihanna only performs her hit songs or introduces new bops to her halftime show performance at the Super Bowl, the Navy will certainly be rooting for her and having a blast.

Time will tell if Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will indeed feature new music from Rihanna, or if there’s just a new version of a RiRi classic coming our way. One way or another, we’re anxiously waiting for this rumor to be true!

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever comes out in theaters November 11.
